In Cleveland, Ohio our employee-led Community Involvement Council helps spearhead volunteer activities in the community. Company sponsored food drives provide a helping hand to the community. Employees can join several clubs focused on sports, development and socialization.
As Pyramid Parts does in the mining industry, they also do in the local community, Make A Difference. Local food banks are always in need of donations, and with tough times for many in a slowing economy the assistance food banks provide is as important as ever.
The Pyramid Parts Safety Team recently conducted a food drive benefiting the Greater Cleveland Area Food Bank. During the month of June, the 42 employees of the Pyramid Parts office in Cleveland collected 720 lbs of food that will eventually be distributed to those in need. That’s over 17 lbs collected per employee! A local freight company even chipped in by transporting the bounty to the food bank on Pyramid’s behalf.
