Management policy is that the prevention of losses in the work environment is to be treated as any other managerial function. Every manager and supervisor must embrace the responsibility to achieve organizational goals in reducing accidents and property loss.

No department will be considered properly managed regardless of it proficiency in other management areas unless it maintains an acceptable level of safety performance.
